The Milwaukee JobCamp has taken off tremendously since my last post. A large number of people have joined us both on the Meetup and our new Facebook pages that it would not surprise me to see over 500 people in attendance for the event.Here's the latest... In addition to a large number of very kind speakers on a variety of topics that will be of strong interest to job seekers and employers, we've just gotten a video that Jobing shot last week and it turned out great!
We are still trying to line up additional sponsors. The event is on solid ground now, but we're still looking for some of the Milwaukee metro area's big companies to step up and show that engaging with talented people is not a "fair weather" activity, but a continuous process required to keep your organization healthy and competitive. I know of at least one large organization that seems to get it, and I am hopeful that there will be more who will be willing to make the very minimal investment of money and time to be an active participant.
We're also looking for food sponsors to help us cater the event as well as practical give-aways for participants.
